Yard Sale in the Sky (2011-2012) is an Augmented Reality yard sale with contributions from artists, architects, and designers. Items were sold for cash at yard sale prices and relocated virtually to buyer's homes using geolocation technology.

Advertised on Craigslist. Held on Chelsea’s The High Line (unofficially) and in a parking lot outside of Jo's Hot Coffee in Austin, TX. All proceeds went to contributors of augmented goods. Concept and technical production of AR by Kristin Lucas.

Originally programmed as a part of the Gradually Melt The Sky exhibition at Devotion Gallery, Brooklyn in 2011. A second iteration was commissioned by Art Alliance Austin timed for 2012 Fusebox Festival.

Additional images and documentation can be found on the original Yard Sale in the Sky website.
