Interspecies Dance is an interactive mixed reality experience that utilizes a Kinect sensor to bring participants into a flamingo colony as flamingo avatars where they can join a courtship dance.

Declining habitats have made it increasingly difficult for flamingos to breed and forage. Research by scientists shows that increasing the size of the colony with mirrors increases the chance of a successful breeding season.
